About the Role
This is a senior delivery role within a national healthcare organisation's Property & Infrastructure team. You will take end-to-end ownership of capital projects across a live hospital portfolio — from planning and design through to commissioning and handover.
You'll operate within a structured Capital Delivery Framework, coordinating consultants, contractors and clinical stakeholders while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance and governance. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead full project lifecycle delivery — planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover — within live hospital environments
- Develop and manage detailed schedules, budgets, scopes and risk registers across concurrent workstreams
- Coordinate multidisciplinary consultants, contractors and internal functions including ICT, medical equipment and engineering services
- Apply and champion the organisation's Capital Delivery Framework and governance standards
- Engage directly with Hospital General Managers, clinical leaders and operational teams to align delivery with service constraints
- Ensure full compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements, statutory approvals, building codes and safety standards
- Provide transparent, structured reporting to executive leadership and governance bodies
- Contribute to continuous improvement of capital delivery processes, tools and procurement approaches
You
To be considered for this role you will require:
- 7–10+ years delivering complex capital or infrastructure projects from initiation through to completion
- Demonstrated experience working within hospital/health or similarly regulated live operational settings
- Proven track record managing consultants, contractors, budgets, schedules and risk concurrently
- Experience contributing to governance, reporting and assurance processes for capital projects
- Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or Project Management (desirable)
