Development Victoria delivers a large-scale pipeline of both land and built form residential projects across metropolitan and regional growth corridors, predominantly greenfield land developments. Position Overview
Reporting to the Executive General Manager, Housing, you will take end-to-end ownership of sales performance across a substantial multi-project portfolio. This is a high-profile appointment with genuine influence over strategy, product, pricing and release planning, and a clear mandate to build and lead a high-performing sales team.
- Own the sales strategy across a large and growing portfolio of residential and land developments spanning metropolitan and regional growth corridors
- Design, establish and lead new internal sales teams to support major and complex projects, working alongside existing external sales channels
- Shape pricing, product mix and release sequencing in close partnership with development, finance and marketing teams
- Partner closely with the marketing function to evolve the customer value proposition and ensure sales and marketing strategies are genuinely aligned
- Build and maintain strong strategic relationships with builders, agents and channel partners across the state
- Provide senior oversight of complex negotiations, highvalue transactions and settlement performance
- Lead sales performance reporting, forecasting and CRM governance across the portfolio
- Represent the organisation at a senior level with stakeholders, industry bodies and government
You are an experienced sales leader from the residential property or land development sector, ready to step into a high-profile role with real scope to build something new. You bring:
- Prior experience in a Sales Director, Head of Sales or senior sales leadership role within residential land, house and land, or broader residential development
- A strong track record leading multichannel sales operations across a sizeable, multi-project portfolio
- Sound knowledge of Melbourne's growth corridors, with regional market exposure highly regarded
- Experience building, coaching and scaling sales teams, ideally including establishing internal sales functions
- A collaborative approach to working with marketing, and a genuine understanding of how sales and marketing strategy connect
- Strong commercial acumen across budgets, forecasting, pricing strategy and CRMdriven reporting
- Excellent stakeholder management and executivelevel communication skills, comfortable operating in a government and political context
- Experience leading teams and strong experience in building positive and collaborative relationships with peers and internal stakeholders
- Experience in managing customer support and settlement‑facing team members to ensure a seamless, high‑quality customer journey from initial enquiry to settlement and key handover
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Property, Economics, Marketing or a related discipline will be highly regarded
