They’re seeking a Lead AI Engineer to drive the design, development, and delivery of production-grade AI solutions - combining technical leadership with hands-on engineering.
This is a rare opportunity to work with modern LLM architectures and shape how AI is built, deployed, and scaled across a high-impact platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of end-to-end AI solutions
- Build and deploy LLM-powered systems (RAG, agents, orchestration)
- Develop scalable APIs, services, and data pipelines
- Design retrieval and ranking systems for accurate outputs
- Establish AI evaluation, testing, and quality frameworks
- Drive LLMOps practices (monitoring, performance, optimisation)
- Ensure solutions are secure, reliable, and cost-efficient
- Mentor engineers and contribute to technical leadership
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience building production-grade software systems
- Strong hands-on experience with LLMs / GenAI technologies
- Expertise in backend development (APIs, microservices, data systems)
- Experience with RAG, prompt design, or agent-based workflows
- Strong understanding of system performance, scalability, and reliability
- Experience with AI evaluation and quality improvement
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with search / retrieval systems or vector databases
- Knowledge of AI cost optimisation techniques
- Exposure to secure or data-sensitive environments
- Background in SaaS or data-rich platforms
