- The main drivers of this role will be to: lead an innovative program of strategic actions in support of optimal revenue performance across all of Council’s activities, services, events and assets.
- Identify new revenue streams and manage the interface between the procured service or activity and the supplier/council relationship
- Identify services, equipment or activities from which council can obtain or improve revenues across wider service offerings.
- Identify Value for Money (VfM) options and alternatives for revenues whilst acknowledging and complying with the Local Government Act NSW and the wider principles of competitive neutrality.

The Role
This is a unique commercial opportunity in a unique local government organisation.
As Head of Strategic Revenue
, sitting within the office of the CEO and reporting to the Senior Manager Strategic Portfolio, the position is a high-trust, high impact role. This role is about commercial leadership. You will be responsible for leading councils’ new revenue delivery initiatives and functions, positioning council as a national leader in strategic revenue creation.
About You
Commercially astute, you will be an innovative thinker with the ability to both identify and harness potential. Experience of working within the government sector is not a requirement. Rather this role will suit an individual who is both able and prepared to identify and then act upon revenue generating opportunities and/or business ideas.
As would be expected of such a role, highly developed communication and advocacy skills are essential.
