Development Manager/Senior Development Manager

Our client is a well-established property development business with a growing national portfolio spanning residential medium density, strata industrial and some large format retail (LFR). With a strong pipeline of townhouse and some apartment projects across South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland, they are are looking for a Development Manager to join their lean, high-performing team.

Operating with a flat structure and genuine autonomy, our client offers the kind of environment where experienced developers can take real ownership of projects and make a meaningful impact without the red tape of a large corporate.

This is an excellent opportunity for a developer with strong medium density residential experience to utlise their skills and diversify their  across some industria projectsl, gaining broad exposure to multiple asset classes within a single, dynamic business.

The primary focus of this role will be medium density residential projects, townhouses, with growing exposure to strata industrial developments as part of our client's expanding portfolio. You'll collaborate closely with external project managers to deliver outcomes, working as the client-side representative across multiple active projects nationally.

Leading medium density residential projects (townhouses and apartments) end to end from feasibility and design through approvals and delivery.

Gaining exposure to strata industrial and other commercial asset classes as part of a diverse national portfolio.

Managing the feasability and overseeing the development life cycle

Working across a national team with projects in SA, VIC, NSW, and QLD.

Travelling interstate approximately once a month to support active projects but working in a very flexible Melbourne office where you can work from home of the office in a manner that works with your needs. 

• Strong medium density residential development experience, particularly townhouses and built-form projects.
• Ability to manage projects independently across the full development lifecycle.
• Experience working alongside or managing external project managers and consultants.
• Comfortable and open to working across asset classes; industrial or commercial exposure is advantageous but not essential.
• A collaborative team player with no ego, able to thrive in a fast-paced , autonomous environment.
• Comfortable with interstate travel (approximately once per month).
• Candidates from larger corporate environments, who have had private exposure and  are seeking more ownership and exposure to a broader range of assets are strongly encouraged to apply.
