You will lead the delivery of a high-quality residential built-form precinct project in Sydney. You will be integral in overseeing the planning, design, construction, and delivery phases of houses and apartments, ensuring that the product meets premium standards of quality, liveability and design.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all stages of development for built-form housing (apartments / attached housing / detached houses) from concept through to completion.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including sub-consultants (architects, engineers, landscape architects), contractors, and internal stakeholders to deliver on schedule and on budget.
- Oversee procurement of materials, finishes, and specialist trades with a strong focus on quality control and durability.
- Ensure compliance with statutory planning, building codes, environmental and safety regulations.
- Manage cost planning, risk assessment and mitigation, and ensure value engineering without compromising design intent or finish standards.
- Maintain rigorous quality assurance processes, inspections, and testing to deliver high-end finishes.
- Drive sustainability initiatives, energy efficiency, and best‐practice building methods.
- Liaise with external authorities / local councils, ensure approvals and permits are secured and maintained.
- Report progress, financial performance and risk to senior leadership; identify issues early and propose remedial action.
- Proven experience (minimum 5-8 years) in development management of built form residential projects (housing/apartments), particularly in the Sydney / NSW market.
- Strong track record of delivering high quality product – excellent design, materials, finishes, and liveability.
- Excellent commercial acumen: budgeting, cost control, value engineering.
- Highly organised, with strong leadership, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Deep knowledge of construction methodologies, standards, statutory approvals, and building regulations in NSW.
- Familiarity with sustainability standards / green building / energy efficient design is preferred.
- Strong communication skills – able to engage with internal teams, contractors, consultants, councils, and other external parties.
